How We Worship

I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

At Holy Cross you will find traditional worship with communion at 9:30 every Sunday morning.  The service lasts about an hour.  Our worship is considered “High Church casual.”  While liturgy is important to us, you will find a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for all congregants, including those with young children.

In church, we first experience God’s grace with a word of forgiveness.

The service begins with a hymn, accompanied by organ, piano, or other instrumentalists.  Our liturgy, which is printed in the bulletin, is also sung, in part, by the congregation.

God’s grace is experienced again when the Bible is read and the sermon preached.

Holy Communion is another way to receive God’s grace.  All are welcome.

After the service, we gather for coffee and other refreshments before the Education time which is at 10:45.  Christian Education is offered for adults and children.

Children are encouraged to join in worship. Our worship space includes a play area amidst the pews for younger children. During the service, Pastor loves to “tell the story” with a children’s sermon.
