Advent Mid-Week Meal and Worship Experiences

“Do Less,” “Experience Wonder,” and “Hold on to Hope”

Wednesdays in December (4th, 11th, and 18th)
Drop in for Soup between 5-6 pm, Worship at 6 pm (about 40 minutes)

The season of Advent, from the Latin adventus meaning “coming,” is a time to prepare our lives to once again receive the gift of the coming of God in Jesus as well as awaiting the time when Jesus will come again with grace and mercy at the end of all time.

This year Holy Cross will gather for three Wednesday evenings to share a meal, community time, as well as worship around these themes—“Do Less,” “Experience Wonder,” and “Hold on to Hope.” Drop in any time between 5 and 6 pm for the meal and worship at 6 pm which will last about 40 minutes. We will use Holden Evening Prayer, readings from the Bible, a brief reflection time, and a couple of songs from Evangelical Lutheran Worship.

Join us for any or all of these parts of Wednesdays as you are able, and bring a neighbor or friend. See you there!
