We have a new Pastoral Intern joining us at Holy Cross, and we need your help to give her a warm New Mexico welcome!
On Wednesday, August 25 from 4:00 to 7:00pm, you can attend a brief meet and greet with her in the parking lot at the Church. This is a great opportunity to say hello and introduce yourself to her. As part of this welcoming, we are looking to help stock her pantry with some uniquely New Mexican flavors and items.
So dig out your favorite recipe to share with her, and some of the spices and pantry items that the recipe might require, and let's stock her pantry full of spices, seasonings and ingredients that can help her explore the wonderfully tasty cuisine of New Mexico.
There are plenty of items native to New Mexico that you can look for, such as pistachios grown in the Alamgordo area, peanuts grown in the Portales area, and Hatch green chile products. Perhaps you have a favorite item like green chile jelly, salsa from local eateries, or wine, beer and sodas from New Mexico.
