Lutheran Family Services Helping Refugees

Lutheran Family Services is an ongoing ministry of the church. We are presently collecting blankets, children’s toys and books, and lamps for them.
Community Support Program for August

Each month, we at Holy Cross emphasize a different community need to support. We work with Lutheran Family Services, helping the refugees that they sponsor with household products; and with a local school for supplies in the Fall and for food and presents for Christmas. We have many other opportunities for giving that continue on an ongoing basis. They are listed on the Community page.
For the month of August, Holy Cross is collecting school supplies for students at Mark Twain Elementary School. One of our members is a teacher there who works directly with the counsellor to help children in need. If you would like to contribute supplies, there is a list in the Community section. Drop them at the church any time. If no one is there, leave them at the door and they will be picked up. Bless you in advance.
